Built by Australian gamers, for Australian gamers.
StormPlay was founded in Sydney in 2019 by a group of passionate gamers who felt the Australian gaming community deserved a dedicated, locally focused platform โ one that understood AU server conditions, local esports scenes, and the unique gaming culture Down Under.
Today, our team of 12 expert reviewers and esports journalists covers everything from AAA blockbusters to indie gems, alongside comprehensive coverage of Australian and Asia-Pacific tournament circuits.
We are proudly independent. We accept no payment for positive reviews and maintain a strict editorial firewall between our commercial partnerships and our review scores.
Work With Us
Our editorial principles guide every review, article, and tournament report we publish.
Our scores are never influenced by advertising relationships or publisher access. If a game is bad, we say so.
We test games on Australian servers, consider local pricing context, and cover the AU/NZ esports scene in depth.
We actively support grassroots esports by covering local tournaments and providing free registration platforms.
Every game is played to completion โ or at least 20+ hours โ before a review score is assigned.
12 passionate gamers spread across Australia, each specialising in different genres and platforms.
